Ex-UVA lacrosse player guilty of 2nd degree murder

George Huguely was also convicted for grand larceny by a jury after around nine hours of deliberation, according to the Richmond Times Dispatch. He faces up to 40 years in prison for the murder conviction and as many as 20 years for grand larceny.

Huguely was convicted in the death of 22-year-old Yeardley Love, a senior on the women's lacrosse team who was found dead at her Charlottesville apartment on May 3, 2010.

Huguely was a senior on the men's lacrosse team at the time.
