Boston Celtics    94   vs. Miami Heat    90     Recap

The sports world seems to be shocked and I don’t know why.  The weaknesses of this Heat team have long been obvious.  When everybody crowned the Heat champions at the beginning of the season I was cautiously optimistic.  By the All-Star break, I didn’t see Miami as being deep enough or strong enough to win it all.  With all the hoopla surrounding the Big 3, they forgot to work on the supporting cast.  If the Celtics win this series, and it looks like they will, I think we will see a complete retooling of the Heat.  Kevin Garnett continued to play strong for Boston, scoring 26 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.  Paul Pierce added 19 including a key 3 over LeBron James with less than a minute remaining.  James finished with 30 points and 13 rebounds but just seemed to lack the toughness to take over and finish a game.  Sorry, but I just don’t think the Heat has enough heart to turn it around and pull off the series.
