Colt McCoy still working out with Cleveland Browns
Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy participated in the team's voluntary offseason conditioning program just days after the team drafted his likely successor.
McCoy reported to the Browns' training complex in Berea on Monday amid speculation that he may be traded. The Browns drafted Oklahoma State quarterback Brandon Weeden with the No. 22 pick in the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday and he is expected to be their new starting quarterback. Browns President Mike Holmgren said over the weekend that he could imagine McCoy as the team's No. 2 quarterback, so he could be kept as Weeden's backup.
McCoy has had two inconsistent seasons as the Browns starting quarterback; however, Cleveland tied for the league lead in dropped passes last season, undermining some of his progress.
According to Browns general manager Tom Heckert, the team has not discussed trading McCoy with any teams.
