Bruins Sign Brad Marchand to 4 Year Extension

Brad Marchand has just signed a 4 year extension with the Boston Bruins reportedly averaging $4.5 million per year.  The forward scored 28 goals, had 27 assists and 55 points in his second full season in the NHL last year and is a little something for the fans to smile about as the whole world is waiting to know if hockey will start on time, or at all this season.

This kid can play and the organization has to be satisfied at nailing down Marchand for the future.  He looked good in the Bruin’s 2011 Stanley Cup championship season but Boston won anyway and he will definitely be a force in the future.  The 5’9”, 183 pound winger had 11 goals and 8 assists in just 25 games in 2011.  I kept an eye on Marchand last season and believe he will be an all star many times in the future.
