Best Week 1 College Football Games

As you all know, the 2012-2013 NCAA Football season is officially set to kick off next week.  Not only will the action start later in the week next week, but there are also some big time games to start off the season as well.  Obviously, the sports bettors are going to be all over this week one action, and we definitely have to go ahead and take a look at a few of the best week one college football games.  Not only will these games be great, but they should be heavily bet on as well.  Let's jump right into it with a look at the the games which run all through next weekend.

South Carolina vs. Vanderbilt

Right off the bat, you think that South Carolina, as a top ten team, is bound to blow out their early season opponents.  Don't say that just yet though, as the Vanderbilt Commodores are not a bad team.  They lost some close games to some good teams last season including Georgia and Arkansas just to name a few.  If Vanderbilt comes out with the type of intensity that I'm expecting them to, then I think that we could be in for one heck of a football game.  Obviously they are going to have to slow down USC running back Marcus Lattimore, so that'll be fun to watch.

Boise State vs. Michigan State

This is the biggest game of the weekend, and is the one that everyone is going to be talking about.  The Michigan State Spartans have some seriously high hopes for this season, but they'll have to get past a Boise State team in week one that has quite a few interesting question marks surrounding them.  After losing a ton of starters from last year, including their quarterback and running back, no one really knows what to expect from this team when all is said and done.  We'll see in week one, as they'll have a massive test against the Spartans.

NC State vs. Tennessee

We previously mentioned this game, and this one has some serious potential to be a great one.  Both of these teams are looking to turn the corner this season.  The Wolfpack were bowl eligible after winning some big games down the stretch against Clemson and Maryland, while the Volunteers struggled in SEC play going 1-7.  This year, both teams are going to want to start things off on a high note by beating a strong opponent.  Expect a back and forth game here, and one that will get some serious attention from bettors as well.
