Angels’ Hunter on restricted list; son arrested
Multiple reports say 17-year-old Darius McClinton-Hunter, one of five people
arrested by Prosper, Texas, police after a month-long investigation, is the
outfielder’s son.
The Angels said only that Hunter was placed on the restricted list before a
game against Oakland because of a “personal matter.”
In a news release, Prosper police said the arrests were made after reports of
alleged sexual assault.
McClinton-Hunter and Garrick White, 17, were arrested for sexual assault of a
child, a second-degree felony. Police said the other three suspects were all
juveniles.
The Halos are expected to recall outfielder Ryan Langerhans from Triple-A Salt
Lake to fill Hunter’s roster spot.
